Good Evening parents and players of the Under 15s Squad.

As the 2019 season draws to a close, I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone that has been involved in the organisation and overall performance of the Under 15s football team throughout the course of the season. A lot goes on behind the scenes to make each weekend possible and the individuals involved know exactly who they are – thanks for all your tireless efforts.

Similarly, I am extremely grateful to the entire playing squad for all their efforts and commitment throughout 2019. The season presented a number of challenges however the team responded with wonderful tenacity and determination to overcome all the hurdles that they confronted. It is truly a wonderful testament to their character and will power.

Upon reflection, the season marks the start of a journey at Thornbury Athletic FC for this group of footballers. What is clearly transparent is that the club offers a rare and unique pathway for the boys to progress into both reserve and senior grade football. Many of the Under 15s were indeed fortunate enough to experience this reality in 2019. As we approach 2020, I encourage the squad to both realise and grasp this opportunity.

Enjoy some well deserved R & R and I look forward to seeing the entire squad back at the club in a few weeks in order to take part in the trials and training clinics for the 2020 season.
